The Supply Chain and Purchasing Professional will have a leading role in defining an integrated supply chain that will produce sustained on-time delivery performance, targeted customer lead time breakthroughs and optimised financial results.

Will operate Supply Chain processes, under the guidance of the Supply Chain & Purchasing Manager. Review customer demand, material availability, place Purchase Orders and manage stock. Liaise with both suppliers and customers, answering queries and offering general support. Responsible for material availability (OTD) for production sites.

Will be a key member of a small team that manages the purchasing and supply chain of the organisations production operations.

**General Responsibilities-**
- Gathers data and conducts analysis with the goal of improving the organisation's supply chain operations.
- Identifies underperforming areas in the supply chain and may suggest improvements or resolutions to problems.
- Development of internal reports to present key insights from the data.
- Maintain and improve existing data analysis tools, reports and business processes.
- Drive continuous improvement in the internal forecasting/supply process to optimise working capital while meeting customer goals.
- Develop positive working relationships with internal and external partners.

**Experience / Qualifications**
- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.
- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation.
- Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results.
- Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity.
- Holds self-accountable for achieving goals and standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organisation including suppliers and external customers.

**Specific Criteria**
- At least 2 years experience in a supply chain and/or procurement role
- Previous commercial experience in either electronics and/or automotive industry would a distinct advantage
- Experience of working closely with suppliers for pricing and quotations
- Excellent people skills and be flexible and resilient in a demanding and active environment.
- Demonstrable track record of consistently achieving KPI's

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
