A small property management company based in Chesterfield, is seeking an experienced bookkeeper & finance officer with good financial and administrative background, to join our business office on full-time or part-time basis. Knowledge and working experience of Xero Accounts software are essential, as well as a good level of general IT literacy.

You will prepare accounts for tax return, chase up rent and payment, issue invoices, VAT, process transaction, prepare management account, and profit and loss account. You will be flexible, easy going, and adopt to business grow and with strategic mind set. Apart from working in the account department, you will also need to be willing to cover other sales and admin staff for their sick leave or holiday when its necessary, also to help with doing viewings, cover operational team for emergency call out or emergency cleaning duty when its required.

Your roles and responsibilities include:

- Maintaining accounts
- Input of invoices and receipt to Xero
- Balancing suppliers’ statement and bank reconciliation
- Update and managing and filing documents
- Balancing accounts and credit control
- Preparing cash flow statements
- Generating monthly management account
- Generating ad-hoc reports when requested by management
- Other general office admin duties
- Prepare rent statement for tenants
- Preparing eviction statement to court hearings
- Responding to customer calls and enquiries
- Sending out information to customers
- Preparing prices and quotation
- Raising invoice and taking bookings and payments
- Dealing with customers checking in and checking out enquiries
- Allocate or instruct cleaners or handyman for emergency issues
- Prepare guest directory and operational manual for properties
- Preparing tax return for multiple businesses
- VAT tax return

You'll also help prepare the profit and loss sheets for the annual accounts as required by the company accountant and assist with other administrative tasks when necessary.

The hours are full time 40 hours per week, but part time or flexible working hours are considered. This is an office-based role, not remote home working role. If you have the required experience and are looking for a new or additional role, please get in touch.
