**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**TRAINEE TRANSPORT ADMINISTRATOR**

**Job Title Trainee Transport Administrator**

**Job Description **To support Operations Director/Transport Manager with the administration of maintenance, safety, legal requirements, and records for a fleet of 50 HGV vehicles and 20 trailers.

**Reporting To Wayne Jones - Operations Director**

**Place of Work Head Office, Radfords Field, Oswestry**

**Responsibilities**
- Meet weekly with Managing & Operations Director to review schedules and agree vehicle availability for at least two weeks ahead.
- Liaise with maintenance/repair centres to book safety inspections, monitor repairs and maintenance.
- Update, log and monitor MOT’s on all company vehicles including HGV fleet
- Update, log and monitor Road Licence Duty on all company vehicles including

HGV fleet.
- Review, enter on system, manage and file all inspection sheets.
- Review and manage response to Lorry Defect Reports
- Manage/check Driver Tacho reporting.
- Manage/check tacho Inspections.
- Manage Driver consumables cabinet.
- Monitor tyre use and arrange and manage tyre fleet inspection.
- File and follow up 6 weekly reports.

**Skills/Qualifications**
- GCSE’s in Maths & English
- Computer literate with good knowledge of Word & Excel
- Organised with attention to detail the role requires good administration skills
- An interest in transport and some experience in an administrative/transport role would be preferable.

Company will pay for formal training and a CPC Transport Management qualification

**Hours of Work **To be discussed.

**Holidays **FTE 21 days per annum plus Bank Holidays

**Rate of Pay **To be discussed linked to previous experience

**Salary**: From £10.50 per hour

- Oswestry, SY10 8RA: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (required)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (required)

**Language**:

- English (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
