**Job Title**:Operations Manager

**Location**:Street, Somerset

**Salary**:£30K - £35K PA DOE

**Hours**: 40hrs per week, Monday - Friday (Flexible start and finish times)

**The Role**: Seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Manager with a proven track record of managing teams and working to and achieving targets.

You will oversee the various departments within the centre, including the office, kitchen and housekeeping. This will include managing targets, overseeing bookkeeping, bookings, HR functions, health and safety and above all, guest experience.

**Key Duties**:

- Meeting financial and ethical targets for the growth and development of the centre.
- Strategic planning for the business, helping frame future plans.
- Controlling expenditure, in liaison with the Director.
- Setting and monitoring targets.
- Responsible for Catering, Sales, Marketing and Bookings.
- Communication and building a rapport with group leaders.
- Convening and facilitating staff meetings when required (monthly).
- To be available daily for the department managers to review priorities and set goals.
- Support and oversee housekeeping, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and presentation are maintained and review priorities and set goals.
- Support and oversee kitchen, to meet targets and ensure high standards of presentation.
- Overall responsibility for health & safety and risk assessments.
- Responsibility for ensuring that service schedules are delivered.
- Coordinating and undertaking, where necessary, office administration and assistance.
- Business Rates / Insurance renewals and safe filing of guarantees.
- Maintaining service / utility certificates.
- Human Resources: staff recruitment, support, administration of holidays, appraisals, discipline and terminations.
- Preparation and review of quarterly reports, together with the Bookkeeper and preparation of other reports as requested by the Director.
- Managing the tips share to staff.
- Keeping the protocols up to date.
- Indications for all new staff and volunteers.

**Skills / Experience / Knowledge**:

- You will have similar previous experience of an operation's / retreat managerial role within a health & well being, hospitality or holistic environment.
- MS Office, Quickbooks.
- Taking a proactive approach to achieving high standards of customer service.
- Full driving license is essential.
- Strong and effective communication skills.
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility to suit the business's needs.
- Ability to work under pressure.
