Our client, a successful and established business based near Brecon, Powys has a vacancy for a motivated Accounts Assistant.

The long established and successful business has experienced continued success across many years whist cultivating a loyal workforce. Working in a small team and reporting into the Operations Director, this is an ideal role for someone who is keen to work in a busy office environment. You will primarily be responsible for accurate and timely management of sales, purchase ledgers and month end duties. This role would suit somebody who has great attention to detail with proven general accounting experience, including use of computerised accounting systems (e.g. Sage or Xero).

This role is office based - with the potential for hybrid working following an initial period to develop knowledge of systems and processes. The role is offered on a part time basis, 3-4 days per week. However full time hours are also possible as the role could be developed to incorporate other administrative duties.

**The job**
- Use of Accounting system to process purchase and sales invoices.
- Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice verification, coding, and data entry.
- Reconcile statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures.
- VAT returns.
- Process of weekly payroll and electronic transfer of funds.
- Dealing with general finance queries
- Liaise with Accountancy firm each quarter and year end.

**The person specification**
- Have a proven track record in accounting with no less than 3 years’ experience
- Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Self-motivated with strong organisational skills and a methodical approach to prioritising and organising work

**Salary & benefits**
- Circa £28-32,000 per annum FTE (dependent on experience)
- 3. 4 or 5 day week
- Hybrid working following initial period to develop knowledge of systems and processes.
- Free on-site car park
