Volunteers to Support Families with Young Children
5 months ago
Home-Start is one of the largest family support charities in the UK. We are currently recruiting volunteers with parenting experience, or similar, to support families in Exeter, East Devon (eg. Honiton, Cranbrook, Sidmouth, Exmouth) and Mid Devon (eg. Crediton, Tiverton, Cullompton).
You might be a parent, or have worked with children, been a carer, or have lived experience of the problems facing families today. Could you spare just 2-3hrs, usually once a week, to support a struggling local family at home? We are looking for people to join our network of trained volunteers, supporting families with young children in dealing with a variety of difficulties including post-natal depression, isolation, physical and mental health problems, bereavement or financial worries.
Full training is provided through online modules and a face to face introductory and closing session. COURSE STARTS SOON. A great opportunity to get experience in family support work.
