This would be a full-time contract for 37.5 hours per week.

**What is a Pharmacy Assistant**

Within Davidsons Chemists the role of Pharmacy Assistant is to provide fantastic patient care, working across the healthcare counter and in the dispensary. Pharmacy Assistants work alongside other team members under the supervision of the Pharmacist to ensure the safe, accurate and timely supply of prescribed medication to patients. They also provide advice on common illnesses and minor ailments and supply over-the-counter medicines when appropriate. Pharmacy Assistants provide healthy lifestyle advice and health services to patients and customers. This is often a fast-paced environment in which you will interact with many different people and will be a core member of the pharmacy and local healthcare team.

We are looking for someone who is an enthusiastic team player with a ‘passion to care’ to work in our pharmacy.

Whether you join us with experience or never have worked in a pharmacy before, you should be committed to providing excellent customer service to our patients and customers. You will be interested in playing a pivotal role within our trusted team in making a difference in the local community.

If you are new to community pharmacy, we support you through your NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Dispensing and Healthcare Assistant qualification, as well as giving you a clear career progression path once you’ve qualified.
