Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH) in a school in Newbury.

Responsibilities:

- Assist the class teacher in the planning and delivery of lessons
- Provide support to individual students or small groups of students
- Work closely with the school's SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to support the needs of students
- Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Monitor and record student progress and provide regular updates to the class teacher and SENCO
- Provide support for students with during school trips and other extracurricular activities

Requirements:

- Experience working with children
- Strong understanding of the needs of students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to the needs of individual students
- Qualification in teaching assistant or related field is preferred but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
