Construction Apprentice

**About the Role**

This apprenticeship is an exciting opportunity to take the first step in your career, allowing you to study for an academic qualification while working and learning alongside friendly and experienced professionals.

The position involves observing, learning and gaining an understanding of a wide range of construction skills and processes, while under the instruction of skilled staff. The person must be reliable, conscientious and able to work in a busy team environment.

In this role, you will be doing a variety of tasks each day, including:
Supporting the site team in achieving its operational objectives

Working closely with the site management team to supervise all sub-contractors and trades and to ensure working methods are performed correctly

Securing storage of all site materials

Co-ordinating the delivery of site materials

The completion of material and plant log sheets

Monitoring site recycling

Organising of materials and assisting with logistics planning

Monitoring stock control and communicating shortages/excesses to Site Manager

Co-ordination of hired plant

This is 3 year apprenticeship, ideally suited for individuals who want to begin a successful and rewarding career

We are looking for a highly motivated individual, who is keen to learn and develop. We are looking for applicants who are:
Attention to detail

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Good Leadership skills

Ability to influence, persuade and negotiate

IT Literate

Ability to work on own initiative and meet deadlines

Good organisational, time management and prioritisation skills
