This apprenticeship is an exciting opportunity to take the first step in your career, allowing you to study for an academic qualification while working and learning alongside friendly and experienced professionals.
The position involves observing, learning and gaining an understanding of a wide range of commercial skills and processes, while under the instruction of skilled staff. The person must be reliable, conscientious and able to work in a busy team environment.
In this role, you will be doing a variety of tasks each day, including:
To assist in compilation of high-level land appraisals including detailed build cost estimates to enable the company to appraise site opportunities for the purpose of making land bids.
Support in compiling various appraisal iterations during the due diligence process.
Gain an understanding of technical information received to support the Land/ Design team to understand the constraints and opportunities of a specific site.
Support the Land Appraisal Manager and Commercial Manager by raising purchase orders for consultants carrying work out for the business.
To assist in the production of and support detailed build cost estimates to the design team to enable them to appraise ‘under control’ sites.
This includes detailed engineering take offs, reviewing of elevational treatments, updating plot and site works rates for the regional areas in which the company operate.
Attending Land and design team meetings to support the Project team.
In conjunction with the Commercial department, to assist in and support the preparation and maintenance of a comprehensive and up-to-date database for both housing and site works costings.
Assist the Commercial Manager with compilation of Subcontract Documents
This is 3 year apprenticeship, ideally suited for individuals who want to begin a successful and rewarding career

Discretion & confidentiality with information held by Land
