Apprentice Procurement Assistant

Apprentice Team Ltd are currently recruiting for a business based in Bristol, BS32 area who is looking for an Apprentice Procurement Assistant to join their growing team
This business is the leading provider of payroll and HR solutions in the UK and Ireland responsible for the pay of 5 million employees, working with 42% of the FTSE 100. You’ll be joining a career making programme in procurement, to get a clear view of the business and how they work together with third parties across Zellis Group.
**LIST OF DUTIES**
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide a great client experience.
- Assisting our experienced Procurement Manager in making sure we are paying suppliers who have a valid contract in place.
- Maintaining the deals calendar by engaging with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements for contract renewals or exits.
- In time, managing low risk contracts by either onboarding or renewing supplier contracts.
- Working closely with the Compliance, Legal and Finance teams to make sure we keep the business safe when introducing third parties to the business
- Identifying ways to help us save money and supporting in negotiations to achieve this.
- Sharing ideas to help improve processes.
**LIST OF REQUIREMENTS**
- Eager to learn and develop.
- Good communicator (written and verbal) and be able to build trusted relationships with clients.
- Effective problem solver.
- Good attention to detail.
- Organised and methodical.
- Familiar with technology, for example you regularly use a computer and mobile apps.
- Comfortable working to deadlines and SLAs.
It would also be great if you have the following (not essential):
- Basic contract knowledge is desirable but not essential, can be gained through own research and on the job training.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- A-level or equivalent education in business or law.
- Prior work experience in a role where you have to problem solve and identify solutions that you deploy.
- An understanding the basics of contracts and key clauses such as liabilities, GDPR (data protection), service levels, audit and termination rights.
**DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
No specific qualifications are required however grades A* - C (9 - 4) GCSE maths and English would be desirable.
**TRAINING TO BE PROVIDED**
Full day to day training will be provided by the employer.
**Job Type**: Apprenticeship
**Salary**: £16,000.00 per year
