**Medical Website Editor**

News-Medical is one of the world’s foremost medical marketing platforms, serving as a digital marketing hub for multi-national healthcare organisations to ethically expand their online presence. We reach a truly global audience across a broad cross-section of healthcare services, from professionals working in medical practices, and healthcare industry researchers, to potential patients looking to educate themselves.

You will join our editorial team and work closely with our team of medical experts and researchers creating and editing high-quality and engaging content for our Medical website. Ideally you will have medical knowledge of diseases and immunology.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Research and write articles, blog posts, and other content for our website, focusing on diseases and immunology
- Edit and proofread content for accuracy, clarity, and style and ensure that it meets our editorial guidelines and website strategy.
- Collaborate with our team of medical experts and researchers to stay current with the latest developments in the field
- Utilise SEO best practices to optimize content for search engines
- Monitor metrics to track the performance of content and make data-driven decisions to improve it

**Required Skills and Experience**
- Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and ability to optimize content for search engines
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and concepts
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines

**Benefits**
- **Salary**: £24,000 to £26,000 dependent on experience
- **Target Annual bonus**: £2,000 - based on company and employee performance
- **Working Hours**: 38 hours per week - with flexibility on both sides regarding start and end time each day (our core hours are 10am-3pm).
- **Work Location and environment**: Based in our brand new Manchester office in the city centre with the opportunity to work from home for up to 2 days per week. We provide financial assistance with home office set up. The office environment is relaxed with a dress down policy and comfy sitting areas, ping-pong table, free tea, coffee, fruit, and drinks fridge. There is a free onsite gym facility.
- **Holiday**: 29 days including bank holidays, plus after six months’ service you get a day off on your birthday and an extra day off after 1 year and 5 extra days after 5 years’ service. We have “Fun in the Sun” half day Fridays in July and August.
- **Regular social events/activities**: Including parties, team lunches and nights out.
- **Training and development** - You will get a training allowance of £500 pa plus support for relevant technical certifications.
- **Private Healthcare (BUPA).** This includes access to online GPs via Babylon and up to two free face-to-face private GP appointments per year. You can also arrange cover for your partner/family at your own cost.
