We are seeking an experienced Content Editor to join our team at Reach plc. As a senior member of our newsroom, you will be responsible for managing the news operation to a high standard, leading and inspiring a team of content creators, and ensuring the highest quality of content is produced and published.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of content editors, writers, and designers to produce high-quality content that engages our audience.
- Develop and implement content strategies that align with our editorial vision and brand values.
- Collaborate with our editorial team to plan and execute content campaigns that drive engagement and revenue.
- Ensure all content meets our editorial, ethical, and legal standards, and is published on time and to a high standard.
- Manage our content management system, ensuring all content is accurately tagged, categorized, and optimized for search.
- Work closely with our social media team to develop and implement social media strategies that drive engagement and traffic to our website.
- Monitor and analyze our content performance using analytics tools, and make data-driven decisions to improve our content strategy.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies, and implement them into our content strategy.
- Proven experience as a content editor or senior journalist, with a strong track record of producing high-quality content.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong understanding of content strategy, editorial vision, and brand values.
- Ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality content on time.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Up-to-date knowledge of media law, IPSO code, and other relevant regulations.
