Role Overview and Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the site HSE manager working in the HSE department which is responsible for the health and safety of all 385 employees at Bedlington and promoting a zero harm safety culture.
**Key Responsibilities**
Working both with the site safety manager but also on your own initiative with the following:
- Provide HSE support to site assisting the HSE Manager on a daily basis
- Providing audit compliance for ISO45001 and 14001 audits
- Data input of site HSE KPI’s
- Reporting hazards and accidents onto group safety platform (salesforce)
- Good knowledge of excel, word and power point
- Managing and upkeep of training matrix
- Point of contact for ordering sitewide PPE
- Liaising with training providers and arrange sitewide training
- Delivering safety inductions to new starters
- Conducting sitewide inspections on work areas
- Upkeep of COSHH register
- Carry out risk assessments and assist with closing out actions
- Working with the facilities team completing waste reporting and managing environmental risks on site
- Weekly presenting of site HSE information to senior management
- Accident and incident investigations and reporting
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes:
Must be qualified to NEBOSH general cert as a minimum. Previous experience in a HSE role required although ongoing training will be provided to gain knowledge and experience and working toward role developing into HSE advisor.
**Desireable Skills and Experience**
- 2 years experience in HSE work environment with knowledge of COSHH desirable along with previous experience of working in a manufacturing company._
