The Equipment Manager is responsible for:

- ensuring that sufficient equipment resources are available to fulfil work requirements,
and that equipment is adequately controlled and maintained;
- repair and maintenance of premises (more than one location) including
compliance with all current legislation relating to health and safety.
Equipment is defined as inspection, measuring, sampling and testing equipment for use on-site and in the laboratory. The remit of control also extends to company vehicles.

**Salary**: Depending upon experience (40 hour week).
Location: Neasden, NW10

Some travel is required, mostly within the M25.
The role is permanent,
Key Responsibilities
Equipment. Responsible for ensuring that sufficient equipment resources are available to
fulfil work requirements and that the equipment is adequately controlled and maintained.

Fleet & Driving Responsible for ensuring that sufficient fleet resources are available to fulfill
work requirements, and that the vehicles are adequately controlled and maintained.
Premises Maintenance Responsible for ensuring the premises including car parks where
owned, exteriors and welfare facilities, are kept in a good state of repair and
appearance, in order to minimise risks to health and safety such that all activities are
undertaken in an environment fit for purpose.

Cost-Effectiveness Contribute to the business’s objective to achieving value for money in
equipment and premises maintenance.
Manual Handling Provide a service to ensure equipment, supplies and materials are in place,
and work activities can proceed as expected.
Equipment Manager
Experience: Competent in equipment repairs.
Competent at basic building repairs and maintenance.
Use of small industrial/electrical/plumbing/mechanical
equipment.
Experience in prioritizing tasks.
Experience in training is an advantage
Qualifications or
Training:
Min. 5 GCSE’s
Full, clean UK driving license (essential)
Basic IT skills (Word, Excel, dedicated equipment database)
Qualification in a trade such as an electrician, plumber etc.
(desirable).
Knowledge of basic health and safety legislation.
Practical Skills: Able to effectively organise own work, and manage a deputy
Able to communicate clearly and effectively (verbally and in
writing)
Able to regularly handle/carry heavy items
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to realise a concept

A proven record of a high level of attendance at work.
Co-operative, polite and courteous to clients, colleagues,
