**Introduction**:
At White Orchid Care, our small, therapeutic homes provide a unique approach to residential care. Our homes offer a containing and nurturing home for young children who have experienced early life trauma and damaging life experiences.
- **We have opportunities available for both**_**experienced support workers and passionate individuals who are looking for a new career in Residential Child Care.**_
It is not essential that you have experience of working in a care role to join our team as full training will be provided.
**The Job**:
- The role requires you to be diverse, energetic and be able to work in a therapeutic way.
- You will demonstrate empathy, compassion, resilience and positive parenting skills.
- You will work as part of a dynamic team in providing a consistent approach towards the care of the children.
- You will need to be flexible, adaptable and be able to help our young people make positive choices.
- Your priority will be to safeguard our children from risk and harm, ensuring that they receive an outstanding level of care.
- You will be a part of everyday life for the children living at White Orchid Care; you will support them with daily routines including education, health, leisure activities and understanding the world around them.
- You will drive our children to activities and appointments, encouraging them to take part in exciting new challenges.
- You will be supported by an established and professional team who work together to ensure the best possible outcomes for the children living in our homes.
- Our in-house training centre will focus on your personal development as well as ensure all relevant and mandatory training is provided and up to date.
- You will be organised, committed and passionate about the work you do.
**What We Offer You**:
- **Residential Carer - Overall Expected Earnings**: £27,604.80
- **Basic Salary**: £22,420.80
- **Sleepover Allowance**: £54.00 per sleep-over (average 8 per month).
- **Shift Leader earning potential: £30,000 +**
- **Enhanced Overtime Opportunities**:On occasions, in line with the needs of the business, there may be opportunities to earn more through additional hours at an enhanced hourly rate and associated bonus.
- **Shift Pattern**:Varied shift pattern ensuring work/life balance. We strive to meet any reasonable working requests in line with the needs of the children, the homes and ensuring a fair balance for all employees.
- **Holiday**: 5.6 weeks annual leave per annum.
- **DBS**: Enhanced DBS Application and subscription to the DBS Update Service.
- **In-House Training Centre**:An in-depth induction for all new employees including mandatory training, therapeutic practice, understanding trauma and de-escalation and containment.
- **Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare**: Funded Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (on successful completion of probation period).
