About the Role

KM Recruitment, a specialist recruiter in the Skills and Employability sectors, is seeking an experienced Residential Childcare Tutor / Assessor to join their team.

This is a full-time, permanent position based at home or on location, with flexibility required for travel. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and supporting learners working towards Residential Childcare Apprenticeships up to Level 5.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver training and assessments that meet learner needs, adapting delivery to overcome barriers to learning.
  • Manage a caseload of learners, providing support and guidance throughout their apprenticeship journey.
  • Conduct online video meetings and training sessions, ensuring timely reviews and meetings are conducted efficiently.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Deputy Manager or Registered Manager in a Residential Children's Home, with a solid understanding of the sector.
  • Desirable: Experience delivering staff training and holding qualifications in Assessing Apprenticeships in Children & Young People Families Practitioner / Residential Childcare.
  • Fully qualified Assessor, with the ability to train and develop skills in-house.
  • Flexible with travel requirements, holding a full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
