IT Assistant

Do you have a love for IT and sports? We have a full time position available within our growing team.
A keen interest in computers is essential along side a basic understanding of Windows, databases, networking and office packages.
Experience in Photoshop, Indesign, MS Access, SQL Server is desirable though not required, training will be given.
Working for a dynamic company your day to day tasks will vary as required and will include, but not exclusively:
- Image design using Adobe InDesign
- Database manipulation
- Maintaining and updating the company’s online event entry system
- Data and spreadsheet manipulation
- Basic office networking
- Handling mass mail outs
- Printing of race numbers
- Using timing equipment and computer systems at events
- Handling, investigating and processing queries arising post event
- Assisting other members of the company as required such as the management team, logistics etc
Based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, this company is one of the longest established sports timing and fulfilment companies in the UK, providing a service to more than 150 sporting events per year.
The type of events covered are:
- Road races
- Cross country races
- Triathlons, duathlons and aquathlons
- Mountain bike off-road endurance races
- Road bike sportifs
- Open water swimming
Attention to detail is essential
**Base salary for weekday work is £22,000, an additional bonus wage is paid for all weekend event work which averages around £10,000 dependant on number of events worked.**
