Administrator / Call Handler

This role forms part of the Community Gateway, the initial point of referral. All referrals from professionals and patients and their families will be managed in this Gateway, including registration of the patient onto the agreed IT system and forward referral to the relevant services.

They will also manage phone calls from patients and other professionals and will deal with their query as fully as possible, referring forwards for further information when needed

You will input audit data for national and local returns when received by clinical teams.
- Dealing with Patient enquiries / accepting referrals
- Supporting the clinical teams by providing the relevant admin support.
- Check all data on Community and hospital systems and amend where appropriate.
- To support in department new starter induction and training to Trust standard
- Support the team in gathering any data for audit research purposes.
- Operate office equipment eg photocopier, printer etc to support administrative processes.One of the largest Trusts in East Anglia, East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust (ESNEFT) provide hospital and community health services to people living across a wide geographical area.
