**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**

**Research**

The complete and timely update of construction projects with key information. Research is defined as;
- Main responsibility is increasing our tender information by building relationships with estimators in the UK & Ireland. This must be done through extensive telephone calling into the construction industry.
- Information Gathering of Construction Developments & Retail Store Operators and Opening Dates
- Speaking on the telephone to relevant individuals and establishing/confirming facts surrounding the planning, design, procurement, construction and store operator and opening information on projects
- Conducting detailed and analytical web research, planning documents, company websites, media and social media searches and tracking and store locators to name the main avenues

**Data Management and Editing**

Help and support the Sector Owner and Management the overall quality of the data output within your sector.

Editing and checking the teams report output to ensure all avenues of research have thoroughly and accurately been completed.

All edits completed for correction in time for our customers report generation.

Ensure all data management compliance checks are completed by yourself and the team daily.

Working closely with the team to ensure all required tasks are completed within the weekly work schedule as required.

.**Key Responsibilities**

Outbound telephone calls to speak to industry contacts to ascertain project & tender information. There is an element of cold calling to companies and contacts who arent expecting a call from us, so a strong and confident phone manner is essential. Identify opportunities to expand the data set by seeking to question contacts beyond the initial reason for the call.

Conducting detailed and analytical Internet research to identify information.

Data entry of information accurately sourced onto the research database.

Maintaining existing relationships with industry contacts and sourcing/forming new.

Ensure your tasks are completed within agreed timeframes with your manager.

Monitor the performance of your team and sector output closely and identify areas of improvement and conduct data spot checks and provide feedback within an agreed timeframe with your manager.

Support your sector and outsource partners where required with:

- Mentoring
- Training
- Frequent Communication
- Regular Team Calls within a timeframe agreed with your manager

Ensure that all data quality checks are completed daily to ensure that the information published to our customers is accurate and correct. Suggest areas where improvements could be made within Research, ensuring that our customers are receiving the best possible information available. Work closely with the Glenigan Content & Outsource Partners to formulate strategies and implement tactics to drive up quality and productivity.

Achieve and exceed where possible agreed key performance indicators set by your manager.

Maintain your sectors social media feed(s)

Provide support to the commercial team by assisting with project updates, prospect / account queries and provide regular industry / process updates to the teams to help with their knowledge development and ensure they are kept upto date with all industry news.

Manage the existing relationships Glenigan has built with industry organisations and source new companies to contact and expand the current number of partners providing Glenigan with project information.

Calls with Glenigans customers and business partners may sometimes be required to review data quality and discuss industry news / trends.

Liaise and support Glenigans outsource and commercial partners on a regular basis

Contribute to your own personal training and development plan.

Remaining flexible to assist and support the full research and content function, be prepared to cover colleagues workloads during absence or exceptional increases in workload.

Support the Research Management Team and other senior colleagues towards Glenigans corporate goals and objectives as required.
