An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the vibrant, warm and friendly Reception team within the Emergency Department at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust Hospital.

This is a challenging role working as the first point of contact for patients coming into the A&E department. You are the first point of contact patients will have at the hospital

- Register patients coming into the Emergency department, using the electronic computer system (SystmOne), ensuring that all relevant patient information is taken and recorded accurately.
- Discharge patient records from SystmOne, ensuring all coding is complete and accurate ensuring clinical pathways are followed as per Trust policy.
- Maintain confidentiality, patient’s privacy and dignity and act in a courteous manner always.
- Escalate any concerns over patients to the relevant clinical staff
- Book, reschedule and cancel, where necessary, clinic appointments
- Deal with telephone enquiries from GPs, patients, relatives, members of the public and other organisations
- Deal with face-to-face enquiries from patients and clinical staff within the department
