As EDI Advisor, you will work closely with the Faculty’s Directors of EDI to lead on the development and implementation of initiatives and policies that will improve diversity within the Faculty, as well as develop a sustainable strategy for its Athena Swan and race equality accreditation work, plus a wide range of overall EDI activities. You will also support the delivery of the University’s EDI agenda and work with colleagues within the EDI team to ensure there is a joined up approach to EDI activities across the University.

This is a permanent, full time position.

Provide guidance to the University on what data is required for the Faculty to meet its accreditation ambitions
Lead on the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of action plans and objectives in relation to formal accreditations (e.g. Athena Swan) to ensure that the Faculty continues to fulfil its ambitions to be visibly leading in EDI
Work with the Race Equality and Accreditation Advisor and Faculty Directors of EDI to deliver the Faculty’s race equality work
Support the Directors of EDI in monitoring Athena Swan progress across the Faculty
Monitor the Faculty EDI budget on behalf of the Directors of EDI
Support the Faculty’s EDI Committee by preparing reports, management information, agendas and minutes and monitoring that all follow-up actions are completed
Lead on the delivery of the EDI communication strategy for the Faculty - ensuring that this is in line with the wider-University EDI communication strategy and plans
Maintain EDI content on internal and external Faculty webpages
Organise and lead relevant workshops and events across the Faculty in order to share good practice and, in conjunction with the wider-University EDI Team, support the University by highlighting priority areas of focus for EDI training and contributing to the overall EDI events calendar and training offer
