**Overview**

The role of Nature Wellbeing Officer plays a pivotal role in creating meaningful and impactful experiences that empower individuals to connect with nature, cultivate resilience, and enhance their mental health and wellbeing.

As the Nature Wellbeing Officer, your role will be multifaceted and dynamic, encompassing various responsibilities aimed at promoting mental health and wellbeing through nature-based activities. Responsibilities include running nature-based activities, outreach, project evaluation, communications, and day-to-day administrative tasks.

Your dedication, creativity, and commitment to positive social change will contribute to building a supportive community where everyone can thrive.

**Responsibilities**
- Outreach to Mental Health and Other Organizations -25%_
- Promote our nature-based programs and develop partnerships with mental health organizations, community groups, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Administrative tasks - 25%_
- Maintain accurate records of session attendance and participant feedback.
- Process orders for supplies needed for nature wellbeing sessions.
- Nature Wellbeing Sessions - 20%_
- Cover and lead nature wellbeing sessions such as gardening, habitat creation, and foraging activities.
- Help with development of future activities, such as home-based nature wellbeing packs.
- Marketing & Communications - 15%_
- Manage social media posts (LinkedIn & Facebook), including creating content and engaging with followers to promote our organisational aims and promote activities.
- Develop printed materials such as flyers and brochures to market our nature wellbeing sessions.
- Update and maintain web content to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
- Evaluation of projects - 15%_
- Collect and collate data through our evaluation process, measuring program outcomes.

**Requirements**:

- An active interest in promoting wellbeing and care for the environment.
- Experience in coordinating and leading outdoor activities or nature-based programs.
- Knowledge of the natural environment (including plant and wildlife knowledge).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to engage with diverse groups and create inclusive environments.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using social media platforms and basic knowledge of website management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible schedule to accommodate occasional evening or weekend events.
