**Job Summary**:
Responsibilities of the Trainee H&S Advisor will include:
- Assisting with and shadowing the day-to-day operations of the H&S Team and being part of the company’s advice line to gain experience.
- Assisting in documenting and investigating incidents in the workplace.
- Participating and contributing to the H&S related meetings and assisting with/taking the minutes and actions where required.
- Assist with the maintenance, and update of all relevant H&S department administrative duties.
- Conducting audits and risk assessments to monitor the implementation of safe systems of work on site.
- Advising and helping to deliver improvement in health, safety, and wellbeing performance across the business.
- Auditing, inspecting and reporting on health and safety performance across the sites.
- Working closely with sight teams, constantly assessing opportunities for creating solutions, for health and safety challenges, and sharing best practice across the organisation
**Job Requirements**:
- True motivation and drive, commitment and passion for Safety and client customer service.
- Enthusiastic and drive to pursue a career in health and safety.
- A confident IT user with strong Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills and an ability to pick up new IT systems quickly.
- You must have a full UK driving licence be willing to travel to client sites in this role.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and writing,
- Confident with strong interpersonal skills to be able to convey health and safety knowledge in a clear and concise manner.
- Attention to detail, ensuring that work is accurate and complete.
- Previous experience working in a Health and Safety department within a similar role.
