**Fixed-Contract: Part Time - 7 hours per week (0.2FTE)**

**Fixed Term Contract for to 6 years duration from start date**

Applications are invited for the post of Lead for Assessment in the Medical School: Medical Education, within the College of Medicine and Vet Medicine.

The Assessment Lead will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the assessment process at the medical school, including the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of assessments. They will work closely with faculty and staff to ensure that assessments align with the curriculum and educational objectives, and that they are fair, valid, and reliable.

**Your skills and attributes for success**:

- Currently working as an NHS consultant (substantive or honorary) or General Practitioner.
- A good understanding of, and with experience of teaching and assessing on, the MBChB programme
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels within the Medical School
- Experience of teaching and assessing on the MBChB programme
- Motivated, conscientious and innovative with the ability to plan, organise, and prioritise.
- Ideally, significant item writing experience at undergraduate or postgraduate level with experience of the delivery of clinical practice exams.
