We are not-yet registered. Our 4-bed residential home, compliant with CQC and Ofsted, located in South Derbyshire (DE11 postcode) will support to 2 young people, aged between 7 and 18 with suspected mental health trauma, abuse, educational and behavioural difficulties (EBD).

The Bettermeant Group is on the lookout for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join the team within a Children’s Residential Home, in the Swadlincote area, on a fixed term basis.

The role is full time, with a requirement to pattern work shifts, as well as carrying out between 5-10 sleep shifts every month.

**ABOUT US**

The Bettermeant Group is a young and fiercely ambitious company in the children’s social sector. We have a vision to deliver a truly unique service, operating with a range of clinical and social care services for vulnerable young people, with identified or suspected mental health needs.

Our plan is to grow The Bettermeant Group to provide several residential children’s homes for looked-after young people, offering medium to long-term placements and occasional emergency stays.

We are looking for conscientious team members who will support and share our vision:

Whilst we do operate a 24 hour a day service (which needs to cover evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays), we’ll obviously need you to work flexibly with us, we have a 4-week rolling rota, which gives you an opportunity to plan ahead and get a good work-life balance in place. Likewise, we will also accommodate your needs as far as possible.

Please understand that young people in our care will present a behavioural challenge to our staff, but the resilient and resourceful team will be able to negotiate and de-escalate all situation. For that reason, applicants needs to be 21 years of age and above.
