**About the Role**:
Classroom Recruiters are working on behalf of multiple children' residential homes across the Burton and Swadlincote area.This is a fantastic opportunity to work with children in a residential setting, perfect for those who have always thought about supporting children needing extra help but didn't know where to start. You will play a pivotal role in supporting children to become more independent, focusing on some of the most vulnerable children in your community. Full training will be provided for this rewarding role.
You not only get full training on how to do the job but you get lots of ongoing support.For the first two weeks after training you will shadow experienced staff that will show you the ropes and really hep you transition into your new role.
**About the Sites**:
This residential sites we work with specialise in helping children with special needs become more independent, living on-site year-round. Open to recruiting people from diverse backgrounds, they value transferable skills and prioritize rapid internal progression. With varied days, you'll work in an environment fostering positive relationships for both staff and pupils. Facilities include a stimulating farm for learning, creating a child-focused environment where children can thrive.
Al the sites that we work with have fantastic facilities for the children that they care for and some even have farms and lots of open ground for extra vocation activities across the week.
**Type of Contract**:
This is a full-time permanent position, working a fixed 3 days on and 3 days off rota, providing an average of 4 days off a week. The set hours are 07:15 till 10 PM each working day with breaks for lunch and later in the day.

We are seeking individuals passionate about helping children with special needs become more independent. Fun, positive people who enjoy engaging with children, possessing empathy and a passion to make a difference in young lives.
**What the Role Is All About**:
You will assist pupils with special needs to become more independent, offering a rewarding role with full training and ample room for progression. Activities include day trips, games, educational support, meal preparation, and managing free time—a meaningful career opportunity.
**Training Provided/Induction**:
The residential sites offers comprehensive training through a week-long program, with ongoing support. Refresher training is provided throughout the year, and opportunities for additional qualifications like Health and Social Care Levels 1 + 2 are available and paid for.
