My client are one of the leading providers for gas and electric within the UK. They are looking to create better and cleaner energy for the UK over the next two decades.

My client are looking for an experienced commercial lead to work with in there already existing team. This role is a very important part of our clients business. This position is not like any other. You will be responsible for commercial strategy, energyforecasting and also customer relationships.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Adapt and execute real time strategies to manage the System Balance to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the gas transportation network in line with statutory UNC obligations, System Management Principles and GSO incentive performance strategies.
- Ability to operate a 24/7/365 operating shift regime this role also required to rotate on to different assignments outside of shift patterns, full drivers Licence, National Security.
- Strong communication skills with internally and externally with stakeholders at all different levels.

**Technical and specialist knowledge**:

- Sound appreciation and understanding of physical gas transportation system
- Proven decision making experience with the capability to work within tight time scales and ability to make accurate decisions whilst maintaining high performance.
- Excellent commercial and analogical skills being capable of confidently making real time decisions, based on relevant data and judgement.
- Excellent understanding of UNC Licence obligations applicable to real time operation together with applicable commercial arrangements and their interdependency with respect to incentive arrangement.
- Expert on energy balancing and entry/exit capacity regimes, associated markets and real time operational decision support tools.
