Medical Records Logistics Assistant - Fixed Term Contract until 31.3.24

We are looking for a conscientious and enthusiastic person to join our team of hard working Medical Records Logistics Assistants on a Part-time basis for a fixed term contract until the end of March 2024.

The post is available Monday to Friday for 25 hours per week (9am to 2pm)

You will be responsible for receiving Patient Records from our 3rdparty off-site storage warehouse and delivering them across the Trust using our powered trolleys. In additional you will participate in a number of administrative support duties across the Medical Records Team.

Theability to drive is essential,as team members will be on occasions expected to collect and deliver patient records to/ from NHS healthcare providers and private Organizations in the local area.

This role would be suitable for individuals who are energetic and used to a physical role associated with 'out of the office' manual handling, as well as office based administration.

Good organizational skills and an exacting eye for detail are crucial in this busy post. Medical Records and IT experience is an advantage, but not essential, as training will be given.

To provide an efficient and effective Medical Records service, supporting patient care within the Royal United Hospitals, Bath, NHS Foundation Trust and other service users.

To locate and retrieve patient Medical Records from our 3rdparty supplier in an accurate and timely manner for Emergency admissions, Outpatient and Pre
- assessment clinics, Elective admissions and supporting services.

Using our powered trolleys, physically transport patient records across the RUH site to all wards and departments. In addition facilitate occasional deliveries to off-site locations using the Information Services designated vehicle.
