**Overview**

Salus is a GP Federation which was formed by the local GP practices within North East Hampshire and Farnham. This Includes practices located in Aldershot, Farnborough, Fleet, Farnham & Yateley. We hold several contracts supporting primary care to deliver services on behalf of those practices, helping them work better together and with other healthcare providers leading to improved patient services and developing new ones due to constant changes in the Primary Care environment.

We also assist practices with admin, operational and HR support and facilitate shared learning across localities. By engaging with the public, we also help ensure that services are designed and developed with patient and public involvement.

The staff at Salus Medical Services have a wealth of experience working in general practice and therefore a good understanding of the opportunities and challenges faced.

**Job Summary**

To ensure patients are booked into the service and the daily administration tasks are completed.

The following are the core responsibilities of the Receptionist/Admin. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels.

**Administration**
- To have good knowledge of all Urgent Care Centre procedures
- To work in accordance with all written protocols
- To log incidents and near misses on the reporting system as required

**Reception**
- Receiving patients, consulting with members of the Urgent Care team
- To work in accordance with all written protocols
- To ensure patients meet the service specifications

**Appointments**
- Process appointment requests for today/future appointments from patients by in person.
- To process external referrals from partnership organisations.

**Computer**
- To register patients onto the clinical system as needed.
- To book patients onto the clinical system.
- To ensure the waiting times are update regularly on the website
- To ensure the data capture for the service patient flow is accurate and completed in timely fashion
- To scan in patient feedback and send this to the management team as directed.

**Telephone**
- Have working knowledge of telephone system
- Take calls from internal and external providers and patients as needed

**Other Tasks**
- To ensure clinical rooms are unlocked and accessible for clinicians at the beginning of the shift.
- To ensure the clinical rooms are locked at the end of the day.
- To report any building or safety issues in accordance with the service policies.
- Any other tasks allocated by managers
- Scanning

**Job Type**: Zero hours contract

Pay: From £13.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
