Overview
The UK Intelligence PMO currently has a Project Controller opportunity based at either Malvern, Bristol or Farnborough. Project Controllers work in partnership with Project and Programme Managers providing core services throughout the project lifecycle. Services include but are not limited to setting up new projects, maintaining project data, creating and maintaining project plans and schedules, submitting financial forecasts, raising customer invoices, raising supplier purchase orders and receipting associated goods and services, project reporting and supporting bidding activities.
Role Purpose
The Project Controller is responsible for the delivery of project controls services for very low to low complexity projects within the UK Intelligence business.
Key Accountabilities
Undertake tasks and activities, as required, in the delivery of project controls services to the UK Intelligence (UKI) business in accordance with the UKI PMO Strategy and QinetiQ Operating Framework
Maintain accurate, timely, valid, complete and relevant data for projects to provide trusted and reliable information enabling informed decision making and accurate project reporting
Monitor, control and report on project performance for projects up to Life Cycle Management Level 1 (LCM Level as defined in QinetiQ Operating Framework)
Maintain regular, open and positive lines of communication within the Project Controls team, with programme and project teams and other key delivery partners
Key Capabilities/Knowledge
Able to communicate confidently with people at all levels
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and multi-task
Quality orientated with attention to detail
Good record keeping skills
Able to make decisions based on own knowledge and experience
Able to use own initiative in non-standard situations without supervision
Competent in MS Office packages (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and SharePoint)
