Service Delivery Support the Deputy Chief Operating Officer and Divisional Senior Leadership Teams to bring together diverse groups of staff to work on specific projects, engaging them with the project, successfully communicating the benefits to negotiate and agree their time and support. Demonstrate a good awareness of the national, regional, and local gynaecology agenda(s) and how this relates to the delivery of transformation projects. Develop relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to work collaboratively on the management and implementation of projects. Maintain accurate project documents including timelines, plans and risk logs.

Demonstrate a high standard of project management skills and knowledge to ensure that projects have clear and achievable outputs. Develop and maintain systems and processes to ensure services are patient centred and efficient. Work with operational managers, frontline clinicians, GP, social care and third sector colleagues to act as a critical friend introducing new ways of working. Sharing expertise, advice, and guidance from a broad range of sources.

Provide updates to internal and external committees/forums on progress of delivery and improvements made to services. Planning and implementing and reporting on tests of change Leading evaluation of projects and workstreams to demonstrate outputs/outcomes are in line with key Trust priorities. Providing assurance to funding bodies, Divisional Management Boards and other relevant meetings. With the support and in conjunction with the management teams within Divisions, lead on the review and development of services, to ensure maximal patient safety and satisfaction.

Analyse and act on information to proactively manage and maintain NHS targets. Use effective communication skills to present to internal and external stakeholders on project delivery / performance and outcome information. Use negotiation and motivational skills to gain support for projects across a breadth of stakeholders, including commissioners, providers, and patients. Act as a key point of contact on projects associated with agreed transformation/improvement programmes.

Programme management and day to day running of one or more large scale, complex projects. Interpretation of national policies, guidance and emerging policy development and development of new local policies and plans where required. Demonstrate effective and transparent decision making, basing decisions on full option appraisals. Clearly articulate relative benefits and dis-benefits of options and support recommendations with a clear and concise rationale.

Identify and ensure that potential blocks and difficulties are dealt with and where relevant are escalated to the Deputy Chief Operating Officer and Divisional Senior Leadership teams where appropriate. Governance Develop and maintain systems and processes to establish and maintain effective communication, and confidentiality of information. Delivery and production of business cases and developing cost improvement and investment programmes associated with programmes of work. Maintain systems and processes to continually monitor standards, e.g., identifying risks, benchmarking, audit, and prepare and implement action plans to improve quality of services.

Lead on the development and implementation of new policies, procedures and guidelines related to the service that emerge because of the improvement/transformation programmes and contribute to the development of other policies. Ensure compliance with Trust policies, procedures and guidelines for self and others, by taking action/alerting management teams if practice appears to contravene policy, or if concerned about any aspect of patient care. Managerial / Leadership Act as a role model by demonstrating leadership and expertise, and by maintaining credibility within the Trust, the wider health care community, and external agencies, ensuring a positive image of the Trust is maintained. Develop and maintain systems and processes to ensure that work is appropriately prioritised and allocated, and that effective supervision is in place to support work delegated to staff.

Maintain systems and processes to ensure that KSF/staff appraisal is in place for all staff in the department for whom you hold line-management responsibility. Ensure that recruitment, staff induction and orientation, sickness absence management and mandatory training take place according to Trust policy where applicable. Support the Trust by the effective monitoring and management of resources, e.g., staff, budget, premises, equipment, supplies and materials. Develop and maintain systems and processes to promote monitor and maintain a healthy, safe and secure working environment, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate documentation and reporting any concerns.
