Jobstore are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Assistant, to work at our leading clients leading manufacturing site in West Lancashire.

Main responsibilities include;
- Support in sourcing, selecting and negotiating the best package in terms of quality, price, terms, deliveries and service with suppliers across a range of raw materials
- Preparation and processing of purchase orders and documents in accordance with company policies and procedures, including confirming purchase invoices match purchase orders and proof of delivery paperwork.
- Review of requisitions, ensuring materials are ordered on a timely basis.
- Monitoring and co-ordinating deliveries of items to ensure all items are delivered to site on time.
- Preparing and maintaining documentation required for equipment available
- Maintaining accurate records for purchasing and for any claims from faulty/short, delivered material.
- Maintain and develop supplier relationships
- Source for new vendors

To be successful in this position, you will be an experienced professional with some background in purchasing support. You must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written), a great attention to detail and the ability to negotiate and work well under pressure.

This is initially a temporary position with a strong possibility of a permanent position after qualifying period. The client will also provide a range of benefits including pension, 25 days holiday, car parking, car electric points, regular overtime and a great working environment.
