The School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences (SERS) is a thriving academic community within the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Hull. Our team of over 20 academic and technical staff teach over 400 students, including postgraduates, as well as supervising students studying MSc by Research and those engaged in PhD work. Our state-of-the-art facilities and equipment provide high-quality teaching, learning, research and knowledge exchange opportunities for SERS staff and students. Facilities include a bespoke rehabilitation suite, extensively equipped physiology laboratories, a high-specification environmental chamber, and a large multifunctional Health and Human Performance Laboratory. The Human performance laboratory contains a Strength and Conditioning suite, multiple force plates, an integrated 10-camera high speed motion capture system and musculoskeletal modelling software, EMG, and isokinetic dynamometry.

The Health, Injury and Performance Hub was launched by the Sport Rehabilitation team in March 2022 as a student-led Hub, focused on the affordable assessment, diagnosis and treatment of neuro-musculoskeletal injuries for members of the local community. The clinic maximises the impact of the expertise, facilities and assets available to develop innovative sport rehabilitation packages that generate new income streams. The Clinic is a platform for developing a local/regional client base, while also providing valuable opportunities to enhance the undergraduate and postgraduate student experience.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Sport Rehabilitation specialist who has experience of working in a clinical environment. The post holder will play a role in maintaining the reputation of the clinic through effective supervision of students while patient facing, assisting with the development of commercial partnerships and support the expansion of the clinic into Physiological Assessment and Sports Asthma/Unexplained Exertional Breathlessness Services.
