**Position Overview**: We are currently seeking a talented and detail-oriented Operations Planner and Scheduler to join our team. The Operations Planner and Scheduler will be responsible for developing comprehensive operational plans, optimising resource allocation, and coordinating scheduling activities to ensure efficient and effective execution of projects and operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1.) **Strategic Planning**: Develop and implement operational plans and strategies to support organisational objectives and project requirements.

2.**Operational Coordination**: Oversee day-to-day operational activities within construction projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives.

3.**Task Assignment**: Assign tasks to construction teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, prioritising activities to meet project milestones effectively.

4.**Resource Allocation**: Analyse project requirements and allocate resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to ensure optimal utilization and cost-effectiveness.

5.**Schedule Management**:Create and maintain project schedules using scheduling software, taking into account project milestones, dependencies, and constraints.

6.**Coordination**: Collaborate with project managers, department heads, and other stakeholders to coordinate scheduling activities and resolve scheduling conflicts.

7.**Risk Assessment**: Identify potential scheduling conflicts, resource shortages, and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and ensure project continuity.

8.**Performance Monitoring**: Monitor project progress against scheduled timelines, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track

9.**Communication**: Communicate schedule updates, resource allocations, and project statuses to relevant stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.

10.**Continuous Improvement**: Continuously evaluate and refine scheduling processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness.

11.**Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of project schedules, resource allocations, and operational plans for reference and reporting purposes.

12.**Compliance**: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and organizational policies and procedures related to scheduling and operations.

**Qualifications**:
**Proficiency in project management software and scheduling tools**

**Strong analytical and problem-solving skills**

**Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams**

**Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously**

**Experience in the [industry/sector] sector is preferred but not essential**

Mon - Thurs (8am to 5pm)

Fri - (8am to 2.30pm)

**Salary**: £24,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
