**PERSONAL ATRIBUTES AND TRAINING**
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office and case management software

- A working knowledge of the Welfare Benefits System
- Understanding of GDPR legislation

**RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES**
- Liaise with DWP to update Universal Credit claim and address any issues such as sanctions / work commitments / child welfare benefits
- Follow and keep up to date with safeguarding policy and procedures and frameworks, implementing them when necessary
- Ensure adherence to GDPR standards
- Perform dynamic risk assessments
- Provide direct support and advocacy for clients, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard.
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients
- Accompany clients to appointments
- Create a welcoming and safe space where individuals feel they belong
- Provide long term support services to help people in crisis to live independent purposeful lives.
- Provide clients with an engagement service to external services when appropriate.
- Logging, and assessing incidents and raise any concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead
- Build partnerships with external stakeholders to support people in crisis.
- Work with Food Bank and Free Cafe clients to address support needs and longer-term help to enable them to get out of food poverty
- Keep up to date with all local initiatives to support people in crisis and help to connect our clients to these services, such as Fuel vouchers, debt support schemes etc.
- Use de-escalation strategies and manage conflict, when required
- Always maintain professional boundaries
- Work closely with our team to ensure coordinated and effective service delivery.

**ADMIN**
- Keep up to date, accurate records
- Attend regular supervisions and provide feedback to the organisation
- All safeguarding incidents and / or interventions to be recorded and reported back to the DSL
- Contribute to any written reports produced by the Executive Team and managers
- Complete expenses forms
- Attend local authority meetings and any other relevant forums
- To actively work with partners and stakeholders to promote the work of the organisation.
- Be flexible with diary planning to account for the needs of the role.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to volunteers, ensuring a smooth workflow and effective utilisation of resources.
- Foster a positive and inclusive volunteer environment, recognising and appreciating their contributions.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From £13.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
