Fire Safety Surveyor

Due to exponential growth, we have a rewarding career opportunity for a Fire and Safety Surveyor to join our team. Trident is looking for an experienced passive fire surveyor to inspect fire doors and compartmentation within a range of property sectors nationwide.
The role is a full-time role, predominately field-based work supported by our Washington Tyne and Wear project office.
A willingness to travel will be essential as part of the role.
Trident Fire is a fire safety consultancy company working nationwide across all industry sectors, providing clients a fully comprehensive fire safety surveys and installation works.
**Key aspects of the role**
The key responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
Carrying out fire door surveys & fire compartmentation surveys to enable project teams to price and plan remedial works accurately. Identifying areas of concern for Passive Fire Protection including batt and mastic, fire boards, cavity barriers and Fire Doors
Identifying points for correction on the fire separation on fire door and compartmentation floor plans
To carry out auditing on completion of any remedial works by project teams to ensure the original work scope has been achieved and that all works have been done in accordance with relevant technical guidance from manufacturers and accreditation bodies.
To provide informal advice to customers’ fire officers and maintenance surveyors to ensure opportunities to improve fire safety are not missed and that essential awareness of fire stopping/fire door principles is understood.
Providing technical advice for the project delivery team
Accurately recording all activities on a company software system, including capturing photos and updating asset records.
Writing reports on what improvements need to be made to ensure the Passive Fire Protection is compliant.
Post work inspections
Assisting your operations manager
Travel to a variety of sites across the UK
**Key requirements**
Hold relevant certifications, such as the Fire Door Inspection Scheme (FDIS) Diploma or equivalent qualifications in fire door inspection and surveying.
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in passive fire protection/safety
Full UK Driving license.
Good understanding of Fire Doors & Fire Stopping principles
Confident and outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal skills.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Etc.)
Good time management and ability to cope with pressure and manage workload, and work to deadlines.
Willingness to learn, act with integrity and work as a team player.
Motivated and enthusiastic individual with a positive can-do attitude
