Our client, an independent global mobility relocation and professional services provider, are looking for a Relocation manager to join their team in Surrey. They provide comprehensive services to corporate clients to relocate their employees.

As the Relocation Manager, you will be primarily responsible for managing the relocation services of their client’s assignees globally. You will be the single point of coordination for the assignee providing them with support throughout the move.

This is a hybrid position, for the first month you will be required to travel to the office every day. This will drop down to 4 days in your second month and 3 days in your third month. Once you have passed your 3-month probation, you will only need to bein the office for 2 days a week.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:
To act as the single point of accountability for assignees (employee relocating to another destination to work) and the client HR/Mobility Team throughout the relocation process (end to end), across various services including:

- Household Goods Shipment
- Sourcing and booking temporary accommodation.
- School search.
- Area orientation.
- Home finding assistance.
- UK Tenancy negotiation and renewals (as appropriate)
- Settling in and tenancy review.
- Initiating language and culture training.
- Expense Management
- Departures services.
- Client specific services

**Household Goods Shipment**:

- Act as the single point of accountability for all phases of the shipping process
- Manage moves in line with company guidelines and following up with assignees, crews, agents, freight brokers and associated approved partners
- Liaise with other offices globally to ensure alignment and smooth transition from one region to the next
- Prepare all necessary documentation and liaise with all the involved parties (Internal/External) throughout the shipment process
- Monitor insurance requirements, including High Value items and ensure appropriate cover is always in place
- Management of both long
- and short-term storage of goods
- Ensure that all billing (reclaiming of any charges to the client) is processed in a timely manner
- Managing and assisting with insurance claims

**Relocation services**:
**Outside of the UK**:

- Be the single point of accountability and coordination for these services
- Coordinate the home, orientation, settling in & school search days by liaising and managing a local partner to ensure smooth delivery of the service
- Arranging payment of all associated costs and billing of the client
- Arranging payment of any assignee costs in relation to their relocation

**Within the UK**:

- Manage expectations of assignee regarding area, commute, and lifestyle
- Negotiate leases with local agents and landlords
- Arranging payments of deposits where required, in line with the client’s policies
- Ensure that all billing (reclaiming of any charges to the client) is processed in a timely manner
- Serving notice on behalf of the client and assignee as per the agreement/advising on correct notice periods or negotiating early termination and minimising fees
- Arranging the end of tenancy cleaning and organising inventory check-outs
- Negotiating deposit disputes until a mutual agreement can be reached between client/assignee and managing agent/landlord in a timely manner

**Skills /Abilities & Knowledge**:

- Knowledge of or the ability to learn and understand the end-to-end Relocation process to include third party involvement.
- Ability to fully understand and manage the end -to-end 'Household Goods’ process
- General knowledge of household goods moving - import, export and third country moves (would be an advantage) or the skills to learn, interpret and understand this information
- Good understanding of customs documentation worldwide (would be an advantage) or the skills to the learn, interpret, and understand this process
- Ability to understand the importance of insurance cover for Household goods shipments
- Understand the UK property market for both renting and buying
- Understanding of UK property law and tenant’s obligations under this
- Ability to understand the billing processes involved and have an awareness of the profitability aspect of each relocation
- Ability to establish, build and maintain relationships both internally and externally and to pro-actively work with third party vendors
- Ability to display confidence and professionalism in all client interactions
- Possess a consultative and pro-active approach
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and accuracy with data management
