**Job Title **Marketing Officer

**Responsible to **Executive Director

**1. Job Purpose**

**To plan, oversee and carry out the College’s marketing activities and campaigns across multi media platforms**

**in order to help maximise brand profile and promote the College’s ethos across all advertising avenues.**

**2. Duties and Responsibilities**
- Contribute in the implementation of marketing strategies
- Oversee marketing operations for the college
- Organise and attend marketing activities or events to raise brand awareness
- Plan and create advertising and promotional campaigns for products or services on a variety of media

(Social, Print etc.)
- Liaise with key stakeholders and vendors to promote success of activities and enhance the company’s presence
- See all ventures through to completion and evaluate their success using various metrics
- Prepare content for the publication of marketing material and oversee production/distribution
- Conduct market research to identify opportunities for promotion and growth
- Collaborate with management in preparing budgets and monitoring department expenses.

**3. Scope of the Job**

The Marketing Officer will plan and oversee the College’s entire marketing activities and campaigns. The role holder will be responsible for ensuring all marketing operations are successful in meeting the goals set by the

Senior Leadership Team.

**4. Context**

Laine Theatre Arts is a distinctive and highly successful performing arts college specialising in Dance and Musical

Theatre and producing Graduates who are fit to work professionally in all situations in the performing arts industry. The focus of the college is vocational rather than academic and much of the work is practical. TheCollege’s reputation has been built on the extraordinary success of its graduates and this role is paramount in promoting that success.

**5. Relationships**

Directly responsible to the Executive Director and will work with the Senior Leadership Team and other relevant stakeholders on projects throughout the year.

**6. Knowledge, Skills and Experience**

**Experience**
- Proven experience as a marketing officer or similar role

**Knowledge and skills**
- Extensive knowledge of performing arts business
- Solid knowledge of marketing techniques and principles
- Good understanding of market research techniques, statistical and data analysis methods
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and marketing software (Adobe photoshop, mailchimp etc)
- Thorough understanding of Social media and web analytics
- Excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Creative and commercial awareness
- Good understanding of UK GDPR regulations desired
- Ability to update website material

**7. Additional information**

**Salary**: £27,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Surrey: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Diploma of Higher Education (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Digital marketing: 3 years (preferred)
- Marketing: 3 years (preferred)

Work Location: One location
