**About the Team**

The Health Improvement and Influencing department influences service providers and decision makers through awareness raising, research, consultation, lobbying and influencing changes in the healthcare and social care systems.

It supports people with epilepsy and others affected by the condition by developing advice, information, educational and learning products.

**Are you the person we are looking for?**

Epilepsy Action have an exciting opportunity for a midwife with an interest in epilepsy to lead a vital service improvement project in the Northwest midwifery service.

This 12-month secondment is open to experienced midwives in the region to lead and implement service improvements for people living with epilepsy who are pregnant.

Are you a compassionate Midwife ready to spark change in epilepsy care? Are you looking for an experience outside of the clinical setting which will boost your specialist expertise and make a huge difference for people with epilepsy in the Northwest? Do you excel at working collaboratively with people and think you can do this across our organisation and others?

As the Midwifery and Epilepsy Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that people with epilepsy of childbearing potential receive the highest quality of care and support throughout their pregnancy journey. You will have the opportunity to lead at a regional level a programme of service evaluation and quality improvement. This will include supporting and implementing a programme of work that aims to improve access and the availability of services for women who are pregnant and living with epilepsy.
