**Job overview**:
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Safeguarding Coordinator to join Chorlton High School.
This is a Grade 6 permanent post, working 35 hours per week working all year round. The starting salary is £30,825.
Main purpose of the job:
To take a lead role within the school for ensuring that the statutory and Local Authority Safeguarding procedures are in place and effectively implemented; to ensure that vulnerable children’s needs are met and that their academic attainment is maintained.

Key relationships:
The post holder will report to the Head teacher, apart from other colleagues, the main contacts of the job are the head teacher, teaching staff, other support staff, pupils, parents, governors, LA and outside agencies.
