Payroll and Benefits Manager

**Summary**:
Our client, a reputable agricultural buying group, is looking to recruit a Payroll and Benefits Manager on a full-time, permanent basis. The main purpose of your role will be to become proficient in all procedures concerning the running of the payroll andbenefits function. You should have previous senior Payroll experience, and preferably possess a payroll qualification.
This role will be undertaken on a hybrid basis, with half of your time spent remote working and the other half based in the firm’s South Molton office.
**What will you be doing as a Payroll and Benefits Manager?**
- Providing support to the business in delivering a plan to improve payroll and benefits services.
- Delivering timely and accurate salary services to the firm.
- Developing a multitude of benefits which will support employees and their needs.
- Looking to discover more agile ways of working and links to systems including internal clocking in systems and HR systems.
- Ensuring the compliance of P11Ds and P60 processes.
- Providing information to the HR team to enable them to support and deliver services.
- Making sure that benefit providers provide good value.
- Ensuring that your department’s administration is appropriate and that all unnecessary tasks are removed.
- Leading and managing the Payroll team to make sure that their career is progressive and rewarding.
**Skills/Qualifications of a Payroll and Benefits Manager**:
- You should have previous senior Payroll experience and preferably a payroll qualification.
- You should ideally possess experience of leading and managing a payroll team and function.
- You will have some project management skills and good systems experience.
- Excellent written communication skills, strong attention to detail and a pro-active approach to work are all essential for this role.
- An ability to drive forward continual improvement and support business development initiatives is crucial.
