Following a period of significant change Bishop Challoner Catholic Federation of schools are continuing to evolve and improve. The two schools will merge from September 2023 creating one co-educational school.
The school have undertaken a restructure of the senior team to better serve the new co-educational structure. As a result, the school will create a senior team of five Deputies and three Assistant Heads.
We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Headteacher to assist the Executive Headteacher and Deputy Heads in the strategic development across the school, creating a climate of learning where expectations are high, clearly communicated and consistently reinforced.
You do not need to be a practising Catholic to apply.

The Assistant Headteacher will support the Deputy Headteacher in:

- To be a senior leader within the school acting as a role model of best practice to colleagues, undertaking duties, attending school events and representing the school in a professional capacity.
- Communicating the school's vision compellingly and supporting the headteacher's strategic leadership
- The day-to-day management of the school
- Formulating the aims and objectives of the school
- Establishing policies for achieving these aims and objectives in relation to the Behaviour for Learning Policy
- Managing staff and resources to that end
- Monitoring progress towards the achievement of the school's aims and objectives
- To promote the ethos of equal opportunities for all staff and students
