Exciting new KS2 TA role

Teaching Assistant required for Key Stage 2 class in welcoming primary school in Manchester. General role supporting children across the curriculum.

This is a great position for someone who is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about all areas of the curriculum, and enjoys taking responsibility for children's learning and development in the classroom. It is a varied role where you will be required to be involved in all aspects of the classroom, and develop an effective working partnership with the class teacher.

Start date - February 2023

Duration - Spring and summer terms

Role type - Full-time, 8:30am to 4pm daily

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead groups of children with learning activities across the curriculum, especially Maths and English
- Support individual children and provide academic interventions as required
- Prepare resources prior to lessons
- Plan activities in conjunction with the class teacher
- Make and record assessments
- Manage behaviour positively and effectively

**Requirements**:

- Experience working within KS2 in a UK primary school
- Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or degree
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be prepared to process a new DBS at a cost of £44
- Be able to provide professional references covering the last 2 full years
- Available long-term as this role will potentially continue for the full academic year
