**The role**:
As Production Lead, you will be ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our roastery’s production & fulfilment operation. You will be a proactive problem solver who takes accountability to make it better as we grow.

**Key responsibilities**
- **Team management**: working to maintain an engaged team, managing recruitment, up-to-date training & compliance, appropriate staffing levels at all times and accurate payroll.
- **Non-coffee item procurement**:ensuring continually competitive pricing for agreed item specifications, maintaining availability, accurate processing of purchase orders.
- **Supplier relationship management**: holding larger material suppliers and outsourced service providers to account on performance against agreed SLAs.
- **Supply and demand planning**:keeping a live forecast with the sales team that supports balanced short and long term planning, driving efficiency and availability, promptly communicating challenges or risks to service.
- **Stock control**:processing accurate movements on inventory platform, adhering to set storage locations, fast goods-in put-away, owning monthly stock takes, reconciling and resolving stock variances.
- **Maintenance**:routine internal servicing of all machinery, keeping live SOPs with reactive maintenance approach and owning preventative maintenance schedule.
- **Workflow efficiencies**:continually reviewing production and fulfilment workflow and looking for ways to make it better.
- **Health & Safety lead **for the roastery, ensuring a safe and compliant environment with all employees trained on procedures, embedding a culture of awareness and owning corrective actions.

**Requirements we need from individual in the role**:

- Worked within a production or fulfilment environment, and have driven increases in efficiency with knowledge of Lean principles, Six Sigma or 5S.
- Managed and coached individuals through a change environment.
- Implemented connected supply & demand planning processes and driven increases in output through production planning.
- Excellent commercial and analytical skills, comfortable working with data to drive decisions.
- Not afraid to get stuck-in - this is a hands on role where you may need to jump on production or fulfilment occasionally.
