We’re seeking a friendly and compassionate individual to join our team as a Support Assistant. Located in the centre of Goole, Aldam House and Cottage has 11 fully-furnished bedrooms. We provide personal care and support for adults aged 18 and over, with a range of mental health needs, providing accommodation and registered care.

**The role of Support Assistant will include**:

- Providing a high quality, hands on and personalised care and support service
- Supporting customers to develop their daily living skills including cooking, cleaning, shopping and being an active part of the community
- Maintaining a safe environment for customers, providing support in accordance with relevant regulations, procedures and practices
- Supporting customers to build the confidence they need to gain further independence
- Working with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve the best outcome for our customers

**Skills and experiences**:

- Experience of working with vulnerable people is advantageous
- NVQ2 in Health & Social Care or Care Certificate is essential
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to prioritise and organise workload, calling upon your strong organisational skills
- Good listening skills and the ability to solve problems, allowing you to form positive relationships with people
- A positive ‘can-do’ attitude and a willingness to persevere through challenging situations
