- PermanentSiemens is creating its first UK based Rail Industry Hub on the outskirts of Goole in the East Riding of Yorkshire. With an initial contract to assemble nearly 50 trains to service the Piccadilly line on the London Underground we are starting to recruit up to 300 skilled technical and support colleagues in our Manufacturing Facility.

In the near future follow-on work is expected to bring this number of trains into the hundreds, along with an expansion on the site into maintenance and overhaul activities displaying a long-term commitment to the area and growth in employment and career opportunities.

Please note we are looking to conduct the interviews for this position towards end of July and start with on first week of October. Please make sure you will be available during these times.

**You will make an impact**:

- Working with the wider logistics team to ensure we maintain high levels of stock accuracy in the warehouse.
- Maintaining a programme of continuous inventory stocktakes and audits, updating our Warehouse Management system to reflect reality.
- Identify trends and issues to create a culture that results in loss minimisation and a focus on stock accuracy.
- organise your own workload to achieve success and will deliver data to the management team to ensure that any identified issues are dealt with appropriately.
- Mentor and coach other warehouse staff in stock accuracy and recording where necessary.

**You will demonstrate**:

- A proven track record of prioritising safety in operational environments
- Demonstratable experience of organising and implementing a perpetual inventory stocktake
- Demonstratable experience of quickly and efficiently handling discrepancies, including adjustments to stock, taking current company financial guidelines into account
- Experience of creating and implementing a stock strategy
- Experience in Training warehouse staff in the use of stocktaking equipment
- Experience co-ordinating stock transfers between departments

**It would be beneficial to have**:

- HSE qualification (such as IOSH / NEBOSH)
- SAP or Similar Systems experience
- Experience of creating and implementing standard operating procedure (SOP) for all elements of stock taking
- Cross-cultural/cross-border experience
