Howdens Joinery are looking for a **Stock Controller** to join our warehousing team at our manufacturing and distribution site in Howden, East Yorkshire.

This is an essential role in the warehouse, where you will maintain all inventory control related activities and execute measures to ensure maximise stock accuracy to ensure we continue to provide a first-rate service to our depots.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Maintaining the company’s product inventory performing cycle stock checks
- Controlling perpetual inventory stock counting / inventory accuracy checks
- Ensuring accuracy of the stock management system
- Monitoring shortfalls of stock and ensuring inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed, and resolved

**Skills and experience**:

- A solid understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and an understanding of WMS, ideally Red Prairie
- Excellent communication skills to work and communicate effectively at all levels within the business including external providers
- Excellent organisation skills and the ability able to organise own workload to meet deadlines
- Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality
- Possess the willingness to learn, improve and adapt
