Job Introduction
**Housing Support & Homelessness Co-ordinator**

**Salary - £41,418 - £46,464 (Grade 7)**

**Hours - 37 hours per week**

**Contract type permanent**

**The post holder will**:

- work with the other teams, Council service areas, external partners and agencies to enable a comprehensive joined-up service to reduce homelessness and rough sleeping in the City.
- have a good understanding of housing, homelessness, housing support needs and how homelessness can increase a individual and households’ vulnerability and worsen health outcomes.
- support the Head of Service in the development and delivery of the local authority’s Homeless Prevention Strategy.
- support in the commissioning of homelessness services, supported housing and rough sleeper services across Wolverhampton, ensuring good quality services which meet the needs of residents and customers.
- have responsibility for a small team, who will provide high quality contract monitoring related to rough sleeping, single persons
- maximise all opportunities for external funding to support homelessness prevention and housing support city wide.
- In partnership and as a matrix group take a lead role for Homeless Services in developing and implementing supported accommodation regulatory powers.

**Our working arrangements**

All council roles are allocated to either a fixed, field or flexible work style. Some roles are agile which enable and empowers employees to maximise their performance and productivity, whilst maintaining a healthy work life balance. Roles with a fixed workstyle work in a fixed permanent council location. Roles with a field workstyle are usually allocation where employees are required to be out working in the community with a minimum requirement for 'touch down' space at any council location. Roles with a flexible workstyle have a flexible base location to meet the needs of the business and employees can work from a mixture of home or any council office, partner/client, or external location, as required to meet service requirements.
