**Health and Safety Coordinator**
£40,000

**Job Type**: Permanent, Full-Time

Location: Tyseley, Birmingham

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30 am - 5:30 pm
- Our client, a committed company to excellence in the Eco industry is seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Safety Coordinator to join their team._

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Design and implement comprehensive health and safety programs to mitigate workplace hazards and risks.
- Draft and update health and safety policies and procedures to align with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct safety training sessions for employees, emphasising the importance of compliance with safety protocols, both office and site-based.
- Lead investigations into workplace incidents, accidents, or near misses, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
- Stay abreast of health and safety regulations, ensuring the company remains compliant with local, state, and federal requirements.
- Perform regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure the effectiveness of safety measures.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures, ensuring employees are adequately trained to respond to emergencies.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate safety into daily operations and projects.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on safety performance, incidents, and corrective actions.

**Qualifications**:

- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent knowledge competency as a minimum with appropriate supporting qualifications (Asbestos Awareness / working at height, etc).
- Proven experience as a Health and Safety Coordinator or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., CSP, OHST) is a plus.
